The workshops around Heliosfera invite to explore light and sound in a sensory and imaginative way, in resonance with the show's creative process. Designed for a variety of audiences, they offer an artistic immersion in which the body, the imagination and the material of light and sound become tools for experimentation and creation.
Body and Light
With Vânia Vaneau and/or Abigail Fowler (light designer of Heliosfera), this workshop explores the many facets of light as an elemental material.
• How do we perceive light, and how does it invite movement?
• What is the nature of light and color?
• Natural/artificial light and ecological/climatic issues
• What are the uses of light in theater and in the history of dance?
• Sharing technical tools for creation, set-up and lighting management in the theater
The aim is to share with participants practices that establish a dialogue between choreographic material and light, and to explore the technical elements that enable us to create luminous spaces on stage, using the tools of the theater.
Using the body and technique, we search to link the sensory to the image and the tool to the imaginary.
Participants may also be invited to create and illuminate their own sensory landscapes.
Body and Sound
With Vânia Vaneau and Pénélope Michel, this workshop immerses you in Heliosfera's world of sound and choreography.
• Activation of body, voice and listening skills
• Exploration of the link between sensation, movement and sound
• Experimentation with the show's instruments: glasses, hydrophone, theremin
• Compositional work with sound objects and the body in movement
By developing a physical and sensory approach, participants will discover sound and body dynamics inspired by the show.
Audience-specific formats
Workshops can take a variety of forms depending on needs and audiences:
• Masterclass
• One day workshops
• Workshops over several days
Whether for a first approach or a deeper immersion, these proposals allow to explore creativity through sensory, physical and imaginative experiences.
