A primitive construction, an arrangement made of tree trunks and some 200 metres of rope, in which the performer's game unfolds towards the heights. This elementary installation can be seen in its assembly process, from the ground to its completion 10 metres above. A syntax made up of simple materials, it tells us the time of the necessary, precise and efficient gesture. It also expresses the time of the curious gaze, the gaze that accepts to follow the narrative of a building gesture, mastered in its quest for balance. It's a kind of fictional architecture that invites the viewer to suspend their gaze, to take a break from the daily grind, to create a poetic gap in the flow of our towns and countryside.

This Catalan artist (...) is a builder of the ephemeral. Throughout the half-hour of Ciel, with a few tree trunks and a set of ropes, he erects a sort of pyramid hut, at the top of which he hoists a final vertical mast by means of a pulley effect. An absolutely useless construction, but beautiful to see assembled, and one that we regret the next day that it has disappeared from the landscape.
Somewhere between a hut and a cabin, a canvas and a hammock, this construction is the stuff of dreams and recalls all the mythologies of the nest and the shelter.
An Eiffel Tower? No. A giant tepee? No. The questions came thick and fast (...). Ropes that could be unrolled ad infinitum, tree trunks that were both flexible and resistant, and a great deal of poetry invaded the Berjallian space. The show ‘Ciel’ unfolded before the eyes of the large audience, who were amazed, intrigued, passionate and moved by the quiet strength of Jordi Galí, an unclassifiable choreographic UFO.
More than an exercise in construction, Ciel is a veritable ballet, provoked by the graceful movements of the Spanish artist. The interest of the show lies in the mastery of the materials and the way they are set in motion. The pieces of wood fly up to the sky thanks to a system of tension and counterweights. In front of this spectacle, calm reigns. Spectators young and old are fascinated by the elevation of this primitive tripod. Once the performance is over, the work moves with the wind in poetic oscillations.
