Multidisciplinary research laboratory on choreographic creation

Duration : 3 weeks

Time for collective research about what makes a choreographic work

© Arrangement Provisoire

The aim of this laboratory is to use forward-looking working methods to examine what makes a choreographic work, what a performance shapes in terms of how perception and thought work, and the relationship with those who receive it. Choreographic artists will be invited, as well as artists who have a fundamental link with dance or gesture; researchers who have already taken a close look at choreographic practice and, more broadly, the performing arts.

We plan to organise 3 Rencontres Incertaines over the next 3 years, ideally lasting 1 week each, with :

> an interdisciplinary invitation to 5 to 7 artists and 1 or 2 witnesses,

> a time for public sharing of the conclusions at the end of the meeting (performance, plenary meeting, free format, etc.),

> and a report (written, photographic, filmed, podcasted, other) that can be consulted on the TRACES platform (under construction).

Each Rencontre Incertaine is planned at regional level and will be structured and thought through with the co-organising partners.
